What is the accommodation at Revive?

At Revive, we have mass accommodation. Participants will be sleeping in halls, separated into a male hall and a female hall. Please bring your own sleeping equipment such as sleeping bags, air mattresses, ear plugs, etc. to make your stay comfortable. There will be showers on site for all participants to use.

If you would prefer to arrange your own accommodation at your own cost, there are also local hostels, hotels and Airbnbs.

Even if you plan to stay in your own accommodation, meals at the venue are included.

Can I get a day pass instead of attending the whole conference?

At this time, we do not offer any single day passes for the conference. The conference registration is for the entire conference, including sleeping accommodations at the Messe and meals.

What should I pack?

  • Warm clothes: Due to the energy crisis, German law will not allow the Messe to be heated at more than 19 degrees Celsius.
  • National clothes: You’re invited to bring clothing that is representative of your nation for our evening session on 31 December.
  • Sleeping gear: sleeping bag, air mattress or other portable mattress to sleep on, pillow, ear plugs, eye mask

Log in to your registration account. Go to “My Account” in the upper right hand corner and click on “My events” and it will bring you to a page that shows your registration and payment status. There is a button that says “payment details” where you can make the remaining payment for your registration.

If I’m unable to attend, can I get a refund?

The 99€ deposit is non-refundable.

For payments beyond the 99€ deposit, we will not issue any refunds after 9 December 2022. This is because we have already paid the venue and catering for your participation.

However, according to German law, we are required to give a refund within 14 days of your registration. This means, for example, if you register on 26 December and decide not to come on 28 December, we will refund your balance due, if you paid it and contact us by 9 January 2023.

REGISTRATION FAQ

How is the Revive registration fee composed?

The real cost of Revive is about 300€ per person. We can offer a lower registration price because of our generous donors who are keen to make Revive accessible and affordable to as many students and graduates as possible.

The price includes:

  • All meals for 5 days (a total of 14 meals beginning with breakfast on 28 December and ending with a to-go breakfast on 2 January)
  • Accommodation in our sleeping halls
  • Nine plenary sessions (including worship, arts, testimonies and speakers)
  • All program outside plenary sessions (such as seminars, tracks, prayer, exhibitions, etc)

Your fee also covers the catering, venue rental, light and sound, plenary speakers, program aspects (worship, arts, testimonies, seminars, decoration), conference planning, and scholarships for participants from parts of Europe from which it is more difficult to join us.

Can I register as a group?

No. You can only register as an individual. Revive 2019 bulk registration brought additional complexities to our team; for 2022, we have decided to only allow individual registration.

If I decide not to come to Revive, can I give my place to someone else?

If you registered after 15 October 2021 and you wish to cancel your registration, your €99 deposit is non-refundable, and we are unable to transfer your registration to someone else.

If you registered after 15 October 2021, please email us to cancel your registration.

Transferring registration requires a lot of extra administrative work, so we only offered this option to people who registered for Revive 2021 prior to our postponement announcement.

If you registered before 15 October 2021, please see your options explained below in the postponement section.

What happens if COVID doesn’t get better in 2022?

We are moving forward in faith that Revive 2022 will happen in person. As we have been doing since 2020, we will be monitoring and assessing national and international updates and regulations, and we will inform you along the way.

We are doing all the necessary planning to host a safe conference, and it is not something that we are taking lightly. We know the seriousness of COVID and we are taking every necessary safety measure.

Our venue Messe Karlsruhe has very high standards on how to meet safely, and our team will be taking all precautions to be together, ensuring everyone stays safe and well.

As we approach December 2022, we will share the current guidelines of the precautions we will all need to take on-site at the Messe.

POSTPONEMENT FAQ

Why was Revive postponed to December 2022?

We always wanted to provide a safe environment for our participants, but even more than that, Revive aims to be an inclusive conference, welcoming people from all over Europe. We want to reach as many people as possible for the mission of revival in Europe.

We had hoped that COVID regulations would have decreased before December 2021. However, because of current COVID regulations, we would have to exclude many people from attending the conference. Many participants would have to quarantine 5 days prior (during Christmas) and after the conference. Also, face masks would still have been a requirement in Germany while indoors with a group of people.

Has the program changed because of postponement?

No. We are delighted to announce that all 9 of our plenary speakers have confirmed they will be with us in December 2022!

Have the prices changed because of postponement?

We are keeping the same pricing scheme, and extending the Super Early Bird deadline. That means, you can book right now for €159 student or €199 non-student through 30 June 2022.

Between 1 July 2022 and 31 October 2022, the Early Bird prices will be €179 student and €229 non-student.

Between 1 November 2022 and arrival at the conference, the Regular prices will be €199 student and €249 non-student.

At the time of your registration, you can pay a 99€ deposit or pay in full.

If cost is an issue for you, we have limited scholarships available or you could consider volunteering as a Revive Hero.

I will no longer be a student in December 2022. Can I still come?

Definitely! Revive is open for young adults between 18-30 years old. If you had registered prior to 15 October 2021 as a student before our postponement announcement, you will maintain the student price even if you are no longer a student in 2022.

I will be over 30 years old in December 2022. Can I still come?

Yes, you are very welcome to join us. The conference is targeted for 18-30 year olds, but we welcome people outside of this age group.

I signed up to volunteer, but I will not be able to serve during the new dates. What should I do?

Thank you for being willing to serve as a Revive Hero! You will be missed at Revive 2022.

Please email our Volunteer Coordinators to let them know that you are no longer able to volunteer; they will make sure your specific team leader (pastoral care, intercession, small groups, logistics) knows you will not be able to serve in 2022.

If you registered as a volunteer prior to 15 October 2021 and can no longer attend, please see the options listed above as to how to cancel your registration by transferring, donating, or requesting a refund.

I registered before 15 October 2021 and I am definitely attending Revive 2022. What should I do?

We’re so glad you’re joining God’s movement across Europe by coming to the 5-day conference in 2022. Prior to the conference, join us on any or all parts of the incredible journey we have in store, including retreat weekends, prayer walks, a digital pilgrimage, and more. Stay tuned for more details about the journey to Revive!

If you have not yet paid your deposit, please make your deposit payment as soon as possible.

I registered before 15 October 2021 and I’m not sure yet if I can attend the new Revive dates. What should I do?

You have until 1 June 2022 to decide – we will send you reminders along the way.

On 1 June, you will need to do one of the following:

  1. Confirm your registration.

The opportunity to transfer to your friend will only be offered if you registered prior to 15 October 2021. Email us if you would like to transfer your registration to a friend; please include your friend’s full name and email address.
  3. Donate your deposit and cancel your registration.
Revive is a unique opportunity for students and graduates across Europe to connect, learn, and be sent out to build God’s kingdom. But some people are unable to afford to attend the conference. If you must cancel your registration, please consider donating your deposit so that someone else can receive it as a scholarship. Email us if you would like to donate your deposit.
  4. Request a partial refund and cancel your registration.
If you can no longer attend and choose not to transfer or donate your registration, please email us to request your partial refund. To receive a full refund, participants were required to email their refund request and registration cancellation by 31 December 2021. If you registered before 15 October 2021 and had only paid the 99€ deposit, we are unable to refund you the deposit amount since the deadline has past. If you registered before 15 October 2021 and had paid the full registration amount, you will not receive your 99€ deposit as part of your refund. Someone will be in touch to securely process your refund.

No matter which option you choose (transfer, donate, partial refund), please join us for the non-conference parts of our journey throughout 2022.
